I am a Featured Artist at C4 Creative Salon! Hello All! This post is to announce some cool news. I am the first guinea pig featured artist for the C4 Creative Salon's bi-weekly Featured Artist program. That means I - Tim Kaney - was accepted and invited in to show some work in the display window of the C4 Creative Salon located at 324 1st Ave SW in Rochester, MN. C4 is working with locla artists to offer a platform for more exposure at street level in a more visible format. C4 Featured Artists get to display their work in the street-facing window of the Creative Salon. The work I am showing ranges from some older classics to some recent endeavors. A few not many have seen as they are part of my slightly unknown hobby in photography and print making. So, if you are not busy, come on down and take a look! At the very least, the display will provide some visual sustenance. All work if for sale, so let me know if you see something you like. Let me know if you don't, and would like to commission something! If the Salon is open, you are welcome to stop in and either take or ask for one of my business cards. There is also a display in the window with a picture of me, my contact info, and a QR Code that will take you to this site - www.kaneykreative.com. See below for a map of where the C4 Salon is: As the first C4 Featured Artist - thank you all so much for reading and for the support. Special thanks for Cassandra Buck for giving artists like me a chance and for being so helpful during the set-up process. Sincerely, Tim Kaney Hi All, it has been a little over a month, but I have not forgotten about posting. I have a new art event, which is happening right here in Rochester, MN, to let you all know about. The event is known as the Rochester Art Venue 2013. Since this is my first time being part of this show, let alone going, I don't know what to expect, but I am excited to learn about it, experience it, and meet new people! MORE INFO>>> When is it: Saturday September 21st, from 4 PM to 12 AM. Where is it: C4 Creative Salon, 115 N Broadway, Rochester, MN (MAP) Cost to Enter: 30$/family; 20$ Pre-Sale; 25$ at the door. TICKETS>>> This event has time where family can come together and create art from 4-6 PM, then there is music, live entertainment, and visual art exhibits till the end of the event. ART ACTIVITIES>>> I am excited to have a new piece to exhibit, some oldies, but goodies, and might have some handmade items for sale here. Like I said, I don't know what to expect, but I think it will be interesting. I should have my own display area, but we shall see. FACEBOOK EVENT>>> There will be bands playing, all of which I have never heard of. Anyways, be sure to check them out while you are there! BANDS>>> It was really good to be accepted into this show, since I haven't been in or part of an art show for quite some time. It will be good to be around other creative souls, see new people, and learn new things. If I make a few bucks too, that would be great. If you think you would want to stop by, let me know, it would be great to see you! More details about tickets, etc. to come as I get them. Thanks! I thought it would be wise to embed this video on my blog, just in case it got buried on KIMT 3's website and I couldn't find it anymore. Was working on my transformer Saturday and was interviewed by Jeron of KIMT (Albert Lee) about my project and the concept. Very weird, but exciting as well. I never would have guessed that only after 4 months of moving to Rochester me, Tim Kaney, would be interviewed by local news about my art, let alone doing a commissioned public art project by Rochester Downtown Alliance. Hope you all like it. If you are bored, come by and see it while I work on it. When it is done, it should glow in the dark.
Got nothing to do on Wednesday, March 21st at around 8 PM? Than come support the local arts community and my habits at an art showcase I am part of!
That's right, it has been a little bit since my last show, but I have joined up with a national arts organization called RAW:Natural Born Artists and they have included me in their showcase "Stimulus" on March 21st at Segredo in Madison, Wisconsin. This is a great opportunity to get exposure and network with other artists in different art forms. About RAW:Natural Born Artists. At this art event, I will be showcasing some paintings that are a few years old, however I would guess that most attendees have not seen them. In addition, you can preview a new collection of paintings through a BRAND NEW PIECE I will have on display! Not to mention I will have affordable prints of my work available at my table as well. Even if you have seen most of my work already, it would be great for you to come out to the show and see all the other kinds of art available. There will be live music, performances, and fashion! About the "Stimulus" show. If you want to go, great! But wait, there's more! Each artist is responsible for a certain number of ticket sales in order to sustain the organization and to make these shows a success. The cost is $10 a ticket online before the show and $15 at the door the night of the show. If you purchase a ticket, please make sure to select "KaneyKreative" as the artist you are supporting during the process. Let me know if you have questions! Map Segredo. If you want to see photos and more from the past events put on by Madison's RAW chapter, have look at their Facebook page. Check out my flier for the show and pass it along to anyone you think might enjoy this show! Thanks for your support! |
